The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Federal Highway Administration are holding a public meeting this week to discuss reconstruction of the I-69 / I-24 interchange at Calvert City.
The interchange is part of the larger project to improve Kentucky highways for the Interstate 69 corridor.
KYTC District 1 Chief Engineer Mike McGregor will be available at the informal meeting and allow community members to speak with project coordinators, view designs for the full flow interchange and comment on the project.

“This revised design maintains the direct connection between the existing Purchase Parkway and U.S. 62 at Calvert City," said McGregor. "This is in response to public comments made prior to our first public meeting on this project. We were fortunate that the FHWA was willing to approve a plan to maintain the direct connection to U.S. 62 for Calvert City.”
McGregor urges anyone with an interest in the project to attend the public information meeting on Thursday, May 14th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., CDT, in the Calvert City Civic Center at 1445 5th Avenue in Calvert City.
