Ex-Kentucky Officer Charged In Rape Of Underage Relative

via paducahky.gov

A former police officer in Kentucky is charged with raping and impregnating an underage relative more than four decades ago.

News outlets report 71-year-old former Paducah police officer Henry Glore was arrested Tuesday on charges of third-degree rape and incest by compulsion with a victim younger than 18.

Police Chief Brian Laird says the department learned of the allegation last year and forwarded the case to state police. Trooper Bryan Luckett says DNA samples confirmed Glore's paternity and the maternity of the victim, who was 15 years old at the time and later gave birth.

Glore worked as a police officer in New York City before joining the Paducah department in 1976. He later resigned after being convicted of cocaine possession. The conviction was later expunged.
