Dalton York

Student Reporter

Dalton York is a student at Murray State University majoring in Nonprofit Leadership Studies with a History minor.  A native of Marshall County, he is a proud product of his tight-knit community. Dalton has competed nationally in speech and debate, winning numerous accolades in extemporaneous speaking and radio broadcast. He serves on the programming committee at Playhouse in the Park and regularly appears onstage in their community theatre productions. Dalton is also active in the university's Baptist Campus Ministry, serving on the public relations team and as a Bible study leader. He is a member of Hardin Baptist Church. Dalton considers himself a "public radio nerd" and is proud to serve his community through WKMS.

Purchase Area Development District Executive Director Jennifer Beck Walker is retiring. Walker announced this week that her last day will be December 1st.

The Paducah City Commission approved a services agreement on Tuesday for the design and construction of an aquatics and recreation facility with a base fee of $1.1 million. The estimated budget for the construction is $15 million.
