Several phone lines for emergency response agencies are down this afternoon. AT&T confirmed the outages affecting customers, including emergency response agencies, are linked to the explosion in downtown Nashville earlier today.
Kentucky State Police is among the many agencies in western Kentucky and Tennessee reporting issues affecting Post 1, Post 2 and Post 16 dispatch centers. A release from the agency said Post 1 dispatch is able to receive 9-1-1 calls from Verizon carriers at this time, though those calling in on the AT&T network may not get through.
