A Paducah-based distributor of doors, windows, and woodwork is investing more than a million dollars to build a new production and storage building.
A release from Greater Paducah Economic Development on Wednesday said Millwork Products, LLC will build the new facility to house an additional production line and warehouse space after facing storage problems from increased demand.
The company’s Paducah location currently operates in a 95,000 square foot facility, using 34,000 square feet for office and production space and 61,000 square feet for warehousing material and additional mill production, according to the release.
President of Millwork Products Robert Allen said the company’s new investment of $1.5 million will construct a new 33,000 square foot building to house additional production and storage.
“We are committed to this community and we take pride in our people, products, and the services we provide,” Allen said in a statement. “We want to continue to grow our markets in the areas we service, along with the local economies. We have good-paying jobs available and we encourage people to join our team.”
The company, in partnership with Greater Paducah Economic Development, and the Kentucky Business Investment Program, said the new expansion should increase employment by 15 new members.
