The Racers are OVC Champs

In last night's men's OVC basketball action, Murray State won their road game against South East Missouri State, 75 to 66, clinching their third straight regular season OVC championship. The Racers are number 16 in the nation according to the Associated Press poll. They'll face one of their toughest opponents this season when they square off against number 21 St. Mary's in Saturday's ESPN Bracketbuster game. Tip off is at 5pm at the CFSB Center. Well- known sportscaster Dick Vitale will call the game for ESPN. In other OVC action last night, Eastern Illinois beat SIU Edwardsville 73 to 66, Tennessee Tech won out over Eastern Kentucky 74 to 67, and Morehead State edged out Austin Peay 52 to 48.

Chad Lampe, a Poplar Bluff, Missouri native, was raised on radio. He credits his father, a broadcast engineer, for his technical knowledge, and his mother for the gift of gab. At ten years old he broke all bonds of the FCC and built his own one watt pirate radio station. His childhood afternoons were spent playing music and interviewing classmates for all his friends to hear. At fourteen he began working for the local radio stations, until he graduated high school. He earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Murray State, and a Masters Degree in Mass Communication. In November, 2011, Chad was named Station Manager in 2016.
