A former Murray State University cheerleader appeared in Calloway Circuit Court on Thursday for a status hearing relating to a first-degree rape charge.
Dannis Seay is scheduled to reappear in court on January 9. Seay entered a not guilty plea in July.
An indictment says Seay on or around March 22 in Calloway County engaged in sexual intercourse with a woman incapable of consent because she was physically helpless.
The charge is a class B felony and is subject to 10 to 20 years in prison. He is currently out on bond.
