The search for a missing Ballard County juvenile ended this morning after Kentucky State Police say the body of 8-year-old Skyleigh Pool was found in a pond about a quarter mile from her residence.
KSP Detective John Sims is investigating the death but does not suspect foul play.
Skyleigh was reported missing yesterday evening and was last seen on County Farm Road. A golden alert was issued throughout the area shortly after. Law enforcement and rescue agencies from multiple counties participated in the search.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow in Louisville.
KSP say no other information is available at this time.
