Mike Gowen
Host of Music from the Front PorchMike Gowen is an instructor in the Nonprofit Leadership Studies program. Originally from Indiana, Mike has lived in Murray for over 30 years, teaching at MSU a majority of that time. He has two adult children and a granddaughter, Daelynn. A beagle named Molly & cat, Chloe, are his four legged companions. In his free time, Mike enjoys anything outdoors, including rock climbing with his granddaughter. He volunteers in numerous community endeavors and is ever grateful for the community of Murray/Calloway County. The local food, art, and music scenes are what Mike thinks make this region truly special. He's grateful for WKMS and the opportunity to share his love for folk, bluegrass, Americana and country music.
