The Paducah Police Department on Monday arrested the Paducah-Tilghman High School cheerleading head coach on a charge of tampering with physical evidence.

Police said in a release that David Wade, 43, of Paducah allegedly texted several cheerleaders a video of a male individual masturbating. Police said Wade told dectectives he had accidentally sent the video to the cheerleaders and that they were not the intended message recipients.

Police also said their investigation determined Wade had allegedly deleted the video and had asked recipients to delete the video. Wade also allegedly tried to hide his phone from police.

Wade was taken to McCracken County Regional Jail that afternoon. Police said the department is working with the McCracken County Commonwealth's Attorney to determine any additional charges.
