Staff Members, Residents Test Positive For Coronavirus At Graves County Nursing Home

CDC.GOV

Several staff members and residents have tested positive for the novel coronavirus at a Graves County nursing home.

Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Administrator David Dietz in a release Tuesday said the staff members and residents who tested positive at the Mayfield nursing home are in stable condition and are not showing “significant” symptoms.

Dietz said all areas of the building are being sanitized, with staff wearing protective equipment at all times. He said the facility is working with the county health department to follow federal and state recommendations and regulations.

“Our staff are dedicated and committed to do everything they can to protect the health and safety

of the residents. We are continuing to work diligently on infection prevention and are monitoring

closely all staff and residents,” Dietz said in a statement.

This follows four people associated with a Lyon County nursing home testing positive for the virus earlier this month. Over a thousand residents and staff at nursing homes and long-term care facilities in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia have tested positive for coronavirus, and dozens have died from COVID-19.
