Shepherd joined WEKU in June 2023 as a staff reporter. He most recently worked for West Virginia Public Broadcasting as General Assignment Reporter. In that role, he collected interviews and captured photos in the northern region of West Virginia. Shepherd holds a master’s degree in Digital Marketing Communication and a bachelor’s in music from West Virginia University.

Before LPM, she interned at LEO Weekly and CNN Digital in her undergrad. She has been a Louisville resident since 2021, but is originally from Belleville, IL, right outside of St. Louis, MO.

John O'Connor is a political writer for The Associated Press, covering state government, politics and features, with a focus on enterprise reporting. O'Connor is a veteran statehouse reporter in the Land of Lincoln, where he's covered the state legislature and other governmental matters for more than 25 years.

Jake Foster was born and raised in southern Indiana and earned his degree in radio and television broadcasting from Vincennes University in 2019. He began his professional career as a part-time soundboard operator for WAMW, where he later became a full-time news anchor and morning show sidekick. He then moved to Clarksville, TN, covering government and business news before joining WKU Public Radio.
