Five Things You Didn't Know About The Savage Radley

Ryan Hartley

Western Kentucky based delta/folk band The Savage Radley are the opening act in our upcoming, free Live Lunch After Dark concert at Lovett Auditorium featuring Big Atomic on Tuesday, August 25. They were also the first band to play our Sounds Good Live Lunch series... But you knew that! Here are some things about the band you didn't know.

  1. The name of the band is a nod to the character Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird, one of the first books that impacted singer, Shaina Goodman.

  2. Drummer Stephen Montgomery collects Pez dispensers, and has since childhood.

  3. Shaina is a gardener and also makes her own pesto.

  4. Shaina's dog, Howard, and Stephen's cat, Elroy, are best friends.

  5. The bandmates share a secret, unashamed love for girl pop.
