Ryan Champion pleaded not guilty yesterday in Trigg County court to 4 counts of murder and 1 count of kidnapping victim death in the killing of his family and a fourth person October 26th.
Kentucky State Police arrested Champion last week after acquiring enough evidence to charge him for the murder of his parents Lindsey and Joy Champion, sister Emily Champion, and Vito Riservato, whose relationship to the family is unclear. The four were found dead from gunshots at the family’s home. Ryan Champion was the sole survivor of the incident.
Trigg County Court officials said Champion was appointed a public defender and set a $5 million bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 13th.
