Join us for the City of Mayfield’s Fireworks Spectacular at the Mayfield-Graves County Ballpark on Sunday, July 12th, at 9 PM.

Tune in to WYMC Radio at 9 PM to hear a reading of the Declaration of Independence by local school children, teens, and adult community leaders and enjoy a program of patriotic music.

Visit the region’s premier flea market, each Monday morning from March through December, at the Mayfield-Graves County Fairgrounds.

Come chat about books! moderated by Kristen and Michelle. Every second Monday from 5:30 – 6:30 pm in the conference room!

What A Community Support Advocate does:

Provide resource navigation: Help connect you with community services such as food assistance, housing programs, healthcare, or transportation resources.

Assist with forms and applications: Help fill out applications for benefits, job programs, or other social services.

Connect to mental health supports: Offer information on local counseling, crisis lines, and mental health programs

Benefits:

Easy access to free, confidential help in a welcoming setting

Personalized guidance based on your specific needs

Help navigating housing, healthcare, and benefit systems

Support with forms, applications, and documentation

Empowerment to build confidence and self-advocacy skills

Ongoing follow-up to ensure continued progress

While walk-ins are welcome, scheduling an appointment will ensure your time slot!

-Plus! Shehan and Mari-Alice are on hand to help as needed. Between the two of them, they have a reasonable amount of experience with crocheting, knitting, cross stitch, sewing, and a teeny tiny little bit of embroidery.
Yarn and Yap meets at 5 p.m. Thursdays at Hopkinsville-Christian Co. Public Library. They meet upstairs. Elevator access is available.

Join the Friends of the Arboretum Board for the 15th Annual Watermelon Bust on Thursday, July 16, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Doran Arboretum! Bring your family and friends for an evening filled with free watermelon, fun games, and entertainment provided by the Murray State University Football Team. While you're here, we invite you to renew or become a Friends of the Arboretum member for just $35 per year. Your membership, along with facility rentals and generous donations, provides the financial support needed to maintain, enhance, and grow the Doran Arboretum for future generations. Join us for the Kentucky Comedy Festival Summer Series show on Friday, July 17, 20265 at Wrather Hall in Murray, Kentucky headlined by the hilarious Dale Jones, who is one of America's top headlining stand-up comedians and returns to Murray after a sold out show in 2025 that had audiences laughing all night! Featuring for Dale are Kentucky natives Jodi White and Jeremiah Martin! This is going to be a fantastic show headlined by the amazing Dale Jones who has over 1 Million social media followers and leaves his audiences laughing all night long!

The Downtown Farmers Market is the largest farmers market in the region, providing a location for farmers, crafter and artisan bakers to promote their products directly to the consumers at a reasonable price, save family farms and stimulate the local economy. During peak season (June-July) more than 60 vendors are set up down 5th & Maple Streets at this premiere Kentucky Proud certified market.

If you are in town on Saturday mornings (May-October), be sure to visit the court square to shop, socialize or walk through.

The Paducah Homegrown Farmers' Market returns for the 2026 season on Saturday, April 18, running 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its regular weekly schedule. Shop fresh produce, handcrafted goods, and local favorites while enjoying live music every week from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Opening day is also a Celebration Saturday, with an Earth Day event in partnership with WKCTC's Sustainability Committee. Special themed Celebration Saturdays are planned throughout the season, including Fit & Fun, Kid's Creative, Family Day, and a Fall Festival closing out the season on October 10. Stop by, stock up, and be part of what makes Paducah's community so vibrant.

Come to the Martin Area Farmers market with 35+ vendors on Saturdays. Customers have two chances to win one of our beautiful Farmers Market Vendor Harvest Baskets, generously filled with locally grown and handcrafted products donated from Martin Farmers Market vendors. Drawings will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Children and adults can earn free produce through our Market Mile and Power of Produce (PoP) Kids Club programs! Adults ages 18 and older can earn a $3 produce token by participating in the Market Mile and youth ages 0–18 can earn a $3 produce token by participating in this week's Kids PoP Club activity.
