Build something awesome at 4-H Wood Science Project Day! 🔨
Youth will learn basic woodworking skills while creating either a jewelry stand or a birdfeeder to take home.
Get ready to get a little wild in the library! Preschool-age kiddos are invited to play with all kinds of toys and make new friends during Play and Grow every Friday at Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, 1101 Bethel St.Play and Grow begins at 10 a.m. and we will start wrapping things up at about 11 a.m.Some of our favorite Play and Grow toys include:*STEM Viewmasters*Magic drawing boards*Magnatiles*LEGOs*Puppet theater…and so many more!
Your children will love our new Kid’s Art Club! Each Friday will bring something new & exciting and they will have a fun new project to share with you each week including painting, crafts, sketching and more! If your child is an aspiring artist, or just needs some fun and to get out of the house each week while parents get a break too, this kid’s club is for them! They will make friends, have fun, create lasting memories AND learn new skills.
Cost: $20 per night
When: Fridays from 6pm-8:30pm starting August 16th. Kids can bring their own water bottles & snacks, but please keep them nut free in case of allergies.

Step into a world of imagination during Storybook Stroll, where young readers and their families can celebrate the joy of storytelling in a fun, interactive environment. In partnership with the Obion River Regional Libraries, this event transforms Dinosaur Hall into a vibrant hub of literacy-focused activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
Guests will explore booths hosted by libraries from across Northwest Tennessee, each offering hands-on activities that encourage children to engage with stories in new and exciting ways. This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” invites participants to dig into the world of books through imaginative play, interactive storytelling and connections with local library resources.

Get ready to grow at Discovery Park during STEAM Saturday – Dinosaur Terrarium. Guests are invited to create a hands-on project while learning how miniature ecosystems come to life.
Participants will build their own dinosaur-themed terrarium to take home, exploring how layers work together to support plant growth. The activity highlights how environmental factors such as light and water impact a thriving ecosystem, offering a fun and educational experience for all ages.
This event is free with Discovery Park admission or membership.
Join our epic adventure to “Unearth a Story” in The Land Down Under! The Didgeridoo Down Under Show is an energetic fusion of Australian music, culture, comedy, character building, storytelling, and loads of audience movement and participation.The didgeridoo has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years, and it’s known for its otherworldly sound. We’ll explore the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef. We’ll unearth Aboriginal artwork and artifacts. We’ll learn about amazing creatures like kangaroos and koalas.
