Come enjoy a weekend of traditional Native American dancing and join in during our Intertribal dances. Enjoy everything about Pow Wow Saturday and Sunday. Gates open at 10:00am. First two hours are sensory friendly. Flute playing and storytelling will be from 4:30-5:30 on Saturday during the dancers’ lunch break. Fry bread, Indian tacos, buffalo burgers and so much more will be available from Native and local vendors.

FRIDAY NIGHT = PARTY NIGHT AT SUMMER SALUTE!

We’re kicking off the weekend with a night made for singing, dancing and having a GOOD time!

6 PM – The ’77 Experience
Rock, pop, country, disco and plenty of crowd favorites!

8 PM – Hollywood Swinging
A tribute to the legendary Kool & The Gang!

This year's Local Licks Festival is the 6th annual fundraiser for The Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club held at Paducah Beer Werks and produced by Four Rivers Entertainment and Local Licks Paducah (501c3). It is an all day festival with local food, music, craft brews and more.

Free admission. Donations accepted.

Amélie, a Belgian toddler living in post-war Japan, gains the power to speak when her grandmother gives her a magical piece of chocolate. As Amélie uses her imagination to explore her world, her Japanese housekeeper guides Amélie into a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and her cross-cultural identity. In French and Japanese with English subtitles.

Come From Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Join us for Madisonville’s 14th Annual 9/11 Heroes Run on Saturday, September 12th in Downtown Madisonville.

Twenty-five years. And yet, if you close your eyes, you can still remember exactly where you were. September 11th didn’t just change our country – it revealed who we are. It showed us what courage looks like when everything is on the line, and it reminded us that some people run toward danger while the rest of us are still trying to make sense of it.

This run is for them. For the nearly 3,000 lives lost that morning. For the first responders who didn’t hesitate. For the men and women who raised their hand to serve in the years that followed – including Madisonville’s hero, SGT William Patrick Rudd, who gave everything on his 8th tour of duty in 2008. And for the heroes who put on a uniform in this community every single day.

Whether you run, ruck, or walk, come be part of something that matters. Since 2013, Madisonville has raised nearly $90,000 for local first responders through the Patrick Rudd Project and another $90,000 for the Travis Manion Foundation. That didn’t happen because of one person — it happened because this community keeps showing up.

We hope you’ll show up again this year.
